1. Who we are
OwnMyWork is operated by 3th Floor Studios LLC, a Utah limited liability company. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean OwnMyWork and 3th Floor Studios LLC.

2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to operate our services. Here's what that looks like per tool:
Tax Calculator
- Income figures and expense categories you enter
- If you save results, your email address
- We do not store your financial data on our servers unless you explicitly save your session
DMCA Takedowns
- Your legal name (required for valid DMCA notices)
- Your email address
- URLs of infringing content and your original content
- A description of the infringement
- Your electronic signature
LLC Formation
- Your chosen business name
- Your contact email
- State of formation and registered agent information
- Any information required by the state filing agency
- Payment information (handled by our payment processor -- we do not store card numbers)
Account
- Email address
- Password (stored as a hashed value -- we cannot see your actual password)
- Service history and documents generated through the platform
3. What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect, view, or monitor your content (videos, photos, posts, or any other creative work)
- We do not install tracking pixels or advertising cookies
- We do not build advertising profiles based on your usage
- We do not collect your device contacts, location beyond what you provide, or social media credentials
4. How we use your information
- To send DMCA notices to platforms on your behalf
- To complete LLC filings with the appropriate state agency
- To calculate and display your tax estimates
- To maintain your account and service history
- To send you transactional emails (receipts, filing confirmations, takedown status updates)
- To respond to your support requests
- To improve the platform based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the services you've signed up for.
5. Who we share your information with
DMCA notices: Your legal name, email, and the content of your takedown notice are sent to the platform or host you are filing against. This is legally required for a valid DMCA notice.
LLC filing: The information required by the state (typically your business name and registered agent details) is submitted to the filing agency. Wyoming LLCs are specifically structured to minimize what becomes part of the public record.
Payment processing: Payments are handled by Stripe. We share only what Stripe needs to complete the transaction. Stripe's privacy policy applies to their handling of that data.
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We never share it with data brokers.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use a minimal set of cookies necessary to operate the platform -- session authentication and basic preference storage. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use third-party tracking pixels.
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics (such as page view counts) to understand how the platform is being used. This data is aggregate and not tied to individual users.
7. Data retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days.
LLC formation records are retained until you request deletion, as these may be needed for follow-up filings or legal reference.
DMCA takedown data
When you use our DMCA takedown service, we collect your name, email, and content URLs to generate and send the takedown notice on your behalf.
When your case reaches a final status (content removed, case closed, or maximum escalation reached), we purge your personal information from our system within 30 days. This includes your name, email, phone number, and the full text of all notices sent.
What we retain after purging:
- An anonymized case record (case number, dates, outcome)
- No personal identifiers
- No notice text
- No contact information
Seven days before the purge, we email you a reminder to download your case file. After the purge date, we will not have a copy. The PDF you download is your only permanent record.
You can request early deletion of any case data at any time by emailing [email protected].
Anonymized, aggregate data (such as platform usage statistics) may be retained indefinitely as it contains no personal information.
8. Data security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed before storage. Payment information is handled by Stripe and never touches our servers in unencrypted form.
Access to your data within our organization is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service. We don't leave the door open.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-transactional emails at any time
- Correct inaccurate information in your account

10. Children
OwnMyWork is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email before the changes take effect. We will never change this policy to allow selling your data. That's not something we'll negotiate with ourselves about.
